2026 Santa Fe Conference
Hosted by the APA New Mexico Chapter Oct. 19–21, 2026 in Santa Fe
Join us in historic Santa Fe, New Mexico, from October 19 through 21 for the annual American Planning Association New Mexico Annual State Planning Conference. This year, our theme is Planning Close to Home: Good Neighbors, Great Places, highlighting the importance of local planning, community partnerships, and homegrown solutions that strengthen New Mexico's communities.
The APA New Mexico State Chapter will hold our annual conference for 2026 in the City Different, bringing planners, practitioners, and partners, elected officials and students, together from across New Mexico and the Southwest for three days of learning, connection, and inspiration.
In collaboration with the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe County, the conference will take a close look at hyperlocal planning and resilience, consider culture and place, and how to integrate heritage, identity, and design, and address the broader planning opportunities and challenges, including tourism, affordable housing, equitable development—issues that resonate statewide and beyond.
